DJing since 1996, this Brazilian-born DJ has become a popular club and mobile DJ / VJ and has DJed all over the Midwest as well as many parts of the world. Papi Love has taken his musical knowledge & DJ / VJ skills abroad at clubs in Brazil, Amsterdam, France, Italy, Mexico, Venezuela and Spain. In the US he has DJed and assisted in setting up and opening clubs in Miami, NY, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Chicago, Milwaukee and of course Madison.

Self-taught, Papi Love has come a long way from his famous house parties where he used 1 turntable, 2 Sony Discmans and a cheap Radioshack mixer to keep the music going non-stop at the dorms and apartments he lived in throughout his college years on the UW-Madison campus. Graduating in 2001 with a major in Film/TV production he wrote, edited and directed commercials for Charter Communications in Madison. His love for video editing soon merged with his love for music and he has been VJing since 2004. DJ Papi Love was the first DJ in Madison to start incorporating video into his mix for an audio visual experience that no only amazes audiences but adds a who new level of complexity to his job as a DJ. As only a handful of DJs who are currently VJing with music videos he has introduced to his crowd a new form of what he calls the future of the nightclub experience. In addition to his weekly gigs, he also finds time to maintain a steady day job at Sony (where he's been employed since 2003). As a Sony Software Training Specialist he also travels the world to do presentations on video and audio production as well as creating training materials and DVDs on how to produce audio and video content. With his versatile knowledge and vast collection of music, Papi Love has packed dance floors with the best in Top 40s, electronic dance music, house, hip-hop, reggae, Latin, R&B, techno, trance and everything from the 20s to the 2000s. In Madison alone Papi has played at every major venue including Majestic, Cardinal, Great Dane, Annex, Madison Ave, Johnny O's, Spices, Madison's, King's Club, Frida, Chautara, Club Hilltop, Luther's Blues, Latin Palace, Nite-City Nightclub, The Orpheum, Gino's, Jolly Bob's, The Kimia Lounge, MadCity Nightclub, UW-Madison, The Angelic, Le Chardonnay, Tutto Pasta and lots of weddings and private functions at both the Overture Centre and Monona Terrace.

He is currently a resident DJ at The Cardinal, Majestic, Frida's, Natt Spil and Jolly Bob's where he sometimes DJs at all 5 venues from Wednesday through Sunday.
